Heather B. Anderson, DPT
Founder, CEO
Heather Beal Anderson, PT, DPT, has more than 26 years of experience in physical therapy. She earned her master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Husson College in 2000 and returned to Husson University, earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2011. Heather founded Coastal Physical Therapy Services in 2010. As the practice has grown, her role has evolved from treating physical therapist to CEO, with a focus on leadership, staff training, and continued growth of the organization. She is currently completing the Competent CEO Program through Fortis Business Solutions in Clearwater, Florida. Heather is also Vice President of Whispering Pine Equine Alliance and author of the children’s book Thor the Therapy Horse. Deeply rooted in Downeast Maine, she values family, community involvement, and helping both people and organizations grow.
Jordan Spencer, DPT
Jordan Grew up in Machiasport, Maine and is currently living in Hancock, Maine with his wife and dog. He graduated from Husson University in 2017 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduating, he became a traveling physical therapist and moved to Texas. In 2018, Jordan returned to Maine to join the Coastal Physical Therapy team. He has experience treating a variety of conditions, and is certified in dry needling and vestibular therapy. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, fishing, and playing with his dog.
Anna Butler, PTA
Erin Otto, PTA
Anna joined Coastal Physical Therapy Services in 2023. She grew up in Milbridge and graduated from Narraguagus High School in 2014. Anna continued her education at UMaine Orono, graduating with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology. She went on to obtain her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from UMaine Presque Isle in 2023. Anna brings fresh air to our clinic as she assists our patients to reach their goals. In her spare time, Anna loves to spend time with her family and friends, especially her niece and nephews.
Erin Otto joined Coastal Physical Therapy Services as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in June 2026, bringing her history with the clinic full circle. Erin first connected with Coastal PT as a high school job-shadow student, later working as a PT aide and returning as a PTA student during her clinical rotations.
She earned her Associate Degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) and successfully passed her national board exams before graduation. Erin is currently continuing her education at UMPI to complete her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
A Machias native and Washington Academy graduate, she now lives in Harrington and enjoys giving back to her Downeast community by coaching volleyball at her former high school. Outside of work, she loves cooking and spending time with her large, close-knit family.
