Back Pain

Physical therapy can reduce your back pain symptoms due to narrowing of spinal canals known as stenosis, spinal degeneration, poor posture, sprain, strain, arthritis, bulging or herniated disk, and muscle weakness.

Physical therapists will evaluate your health history, examine your back, analyze your symptoms, and discuss your goals to develop the appropriate treatment plan for you.

Physical therapy treatment may include a variety of manual therapy, including soft tissue work, joint mobilization and trigger point dry needling. A tailored exercise program is also created for each patient to address pain, mobility, strengthening and improvement in function. The appropriate treatment plan can also prevent the need for surgery. Surgery should only be considered as a last resort.
